Carefully hand picked, the grapes for GRAF JOSEF are selected from sun exposed primary rock and loess terrace vineyards near the picturesque town of Krems in Lower Austria – gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Wachau.

Here, the River Danube influences the microclimate with a mix of warm air from the South-East, providing ripeness and cool air from the North, retaining refreshing aromatics.

This special pre historic soil and climate help to create that distinctive aroma full of fruit, light spice and depth of flavour which makes Graf Josef such a pleasure to drink.
